TEAMS - Tax Exemption Administration Management System
TEAMS (Tax Exemption Administrative Management System) is a web-enabled, Sarbanes-Oxley compliant software system that automates the acquisition, organization and management of sales tax exemption and resale certificates as well as use tax exemption certificates. In addition to collecting, storing and retrieving exemption certificates, TEAMS identifies expiring or expired exemption certificates as well as missing or invalid certificates. Rather than react under the pressure and stress of a sales tax audit or use tax audit with uncertainty, TEAMS helps a company proactively manage sales and use tax exemptions through their database of tax certificates before audits occur. TEAMS Express provides “compliance confidence” and returns control of the sales tax audit back to the company.
TEAMS has leveraged the core functionality and applied it to various applicable areas for exemptions, such as at the store level (Point-of-Sale), use tax, telecommunications tax, as well as verticals that have specific needs, such as energy/utility and retail.
